Chronic Knee Pain

Chronic knee pain can impact mobility and quality of life. Often caused by overuse or conditions like osteoarthritis, understanding its causes is key to long-term relief and knee health.

Acute Lower Back Pain

Acute lower back pain is caused by injury or inflammation affecting the discs, muscles, or nerves, often radiating to the buttocks or legs. It’s accompanied by spasms and limits daily activities.

Chronic Lower Back Pain

Chronic lower back pain is discomfort that persists for more than 12 weeks, even after an initial injury has healed. This pain often affects the lower back, buttocks, and sometimes the thighs and legs.

Chronic Hip Pain

Chronic hip pain, caused by issues with the bursa, tendons, joints, or nerves, can limit daily activities like walking, running, sitting, and sleeping.

Chronic Shoulder Pain

Chronic shoulder pain lasts over three months and results from dysfunction in the muscles, tendons, and ligaments, leading to pain, limited mobility, and reduced quality of life.

Pulled Muscle

A pulled or strained muscle occurs when the muscle is stretched beyond its normal range of motion or subjected to excessive force. This can happen due to heavy lifting, sudden awkward movements, or overuse. Pulled muscles can vary in severity, from mild discomfort to significant loss of function.

ACL Injury

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is crucial for stabilizing the knee joint during movement. ACL injuries often occur due to sudden stops, changes in direction, jumping, or direct blows to the knee. Sports like football, soccer, basketball, and skiing commonly see ACL injuries.

Hip Bursitis

Hip bursitis is the inflammation of the bursa—fluid-filled sacs that cushion the hip joint. This condition leads to pain and stiffness, making movement uncomfortable. Repetitive hip motions, direct injuries, or poor posture can trigger bursitis.

Menisscus Tear

A meniscus tear is an injury to the C-shaped cartilage in the knee that acts as a cushion between the thigh and shin bones. This injury can occur from twisting motions or sudden impacts.

Rotator Cuff Injury

The rotator cuff consists of muscles and tendons that stabilize the shoulder. Injuries can occur due to repetitive overuse, heavy lifting, or age-related degeneration.

Painless and Non-Invasive

Unlike calipers, there’s no discomfort—just accurate results in minutes.

Complete Body Insights

Scales tell you your weight; DEXA reveals what that weight is made of.

Trackable Progress

Allied Health FAQs

Do you need a referral to see a Chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Podiatrist or Dietitian?

No referral needed! We are here to help. You can use any of our services privately, so give us a call or book online.

What should I expect during a DEXA Body Composition Scan?

A DEXA Body Composition Scan is quick, painless and non-invasive. You will be instructed to lie flat on a padded table, staying very still, while the scanning arm passes above you. You remain fully clothed but asked to remove heavy clothing, shoes, jewellery and metal objects. The scan itself takes around 10 minutes and your DEXA report will be ready immediately.

How will my training benefit getting a DEXA Body Composition Scan?

DEXA Body Composition Scans are the gold standard assessment to medically determine your body composition and fat mass. You can use this assessment to set realistic and achievable training goals. Subsequent scans serve to keep you motivated and make the necessary changes to achieve your goal, either alone or with your personal trainer.

How do I know what type of appointment to book?

If you are unsure about which type of appointment or service you require, please call us on (02) 8378 8556.
