How to request account deletion

You can request deletion of your account in either of these ways:

• In the app: open the Housed app, go to Account → Settings, and choose Delete account.
• By email: send a request from your registered email address to [email protected] with the subject line “Delete my account”.

To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing the request (for example, by confirming the email or phone number linked to your account).

What data is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we permanently delete the personal data linked to your account, including:

• Name, email address, phone number, and date of birth
• Account profile and login credentials
• Membership, booking, and check-in history
• Fitness, workout, and nutrition data you logged in the app (with any health-related information provided with consent)
• App usage and device data associated with your account

Data we may retain

We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required or permitted to do so, including:

• Transaction and billing records, where required under Australian taxation and financial-record laws (generally up to 7 years)
• Information required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud

Any retained data is kept securely and is used only for the purposes described above. Where possible, it is de-identified.

How long deletion takes

We will action verified deletion requests within 30 days. If we are unable to fully complete the deletion within this period (for example, due to a legal retention requirement), we will let you know what has been deleted, what has been retained, and why.
