Do I need prior training experience?

No. Our personal training is suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced movers. Each session is tailored to your experience, capacity, and goals.

What happens in my first session?

Your first session includes a detailed movement and lifestyle assessment, goal discussion, and an introduction to your personalised training programme. This ensures training is purposeful and aligned with your needs from the start.

Is personal training focused on strength or recovery?

Both. Our approach integrates strength, conditioning, mobility, and recovery. Sessions are designed to improve performance while supporting balance, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

How is progress measured?

Progress is tracked through your personal training app and regular coach assessments.

Inside the app, we monitor strength progression, training consistency, and performance markers relevant to your goals. Alongside that, your coach continually assesses movement quality, mobility, and technique in person to ensure you're improving safely and effectively.

Can personal training help with injuries or limitations?

Yes. Our trainers work thoughtfully with existing injuries, movement restrictions, or rehabilitation goals, adapting programmes to support safe and effective progress.

Is personal training suitable for stress management and wellbeing?

Absolutely. Our sessions emphasise calm focus, breath, and intentional movement, supporting both physical performance and nervous system balance.

What should I wear or bring to sessions?

Comfortable training attire and appropriate footwear are recommended. Your trainer will guide you on anything additional based on your programme.

How do I get started?

How do I book my preferred Personal Training days and times?

Your chosen days and times will appear as reserved in the Housed Personal Trainer app.

What is the minimum commitment for Personal Training? Do I need to commit to a long-term membership?

We only require that you commit to a minimum of 1 paid session during your initial 28 days. After 28 days, we require a 28 day notice to cancel your Personal Training membership.

What is the cancellation policy for sessions?

If you cancel a session with less than 24 hours' notice, it will be forfeited. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance can be rescheduled, depending on trainer availability and mutual agreement on a new time.

What happens if my trainer cancels a session?

If your trainer cancels, the session must be rescheduled within 28 days. If not rescheduled within that time, it may affect your session count or payment arrangements.

Can I pause my membership?

Your membership can be paused for up to 4 weeks free of charge. After the 4th week, a weekly holding fee of $5 applies.
