Why Choose Group Fitness Classes?

Group fitness classes at Housed combine expert instruction, structured programming, and community motivation to deliver results that go far beyond what most people achieve training alone. Whether you're drawn to the mind-body connection of Pilates or the high-energy environment of group training, our classes provide the perfect balance of challenge, support, and progression.

Expert-Led Instruction

Every class at Housed is led by qualified, experienced instructors who are passionate about helping you succeed. Our Pilates instructors hold specialized reformer certifications and understand how to modify exercises for different bodies and abilities. Our group training coaches bring expertise in functional fitness, HIIT methodology, and performance training, ensuring every workout is safe, effective, and progressive.

Unlike generic workout videos or unsupervised gym sessions, our instructors provide real-time feedback, form corrections, and personalized modifications to ensure you're getting the most from each movement while minimizing injury risk.

Community & Accountability

One of the biggest advantages of group fitness classes is the built-in community and accountability. When you commit to a class time and see familiar faces, you're far more likely to show up consistently—the key to achieving any fitness goal. The group energy creates a motivating atmosphere where everyone pushes each other to work harder and celebrate each other's progress.

Many of our members form lasting friendships through their regular classes, turning what could be a solitary fitness journey into a social experience they genuinely look forward to. This sense of belonging and shared purpose is what keeps people coming back week after week, year after year.

Structured Progressive Programming

Our classes follow carefully designed programming that progresses over weeks and months. You're not just showing up to random workouts—you're following a structured plan that builds strength, endurance, and skill systematically. This progressive approach ensures you continue to see improvements and avoid plateaus.

In Pilates, you'll gradually advance through exercise variations as your core strength and control improve. In group training, we periodize our programming to build different fitness qualities throughout the year, ensuring balanced development and preventing burnout.

Variety & Motivation

Group classes provide built-in variety that keeps your body adapting and your mind engaged. Each class brings a different workout, different exercises, and often different instructors with unique teaching styles. This variety prevents boredom, reduces the risk of overuse injuries, and ensures you develop well-rounded fitness.

The group environment also provides intrinsic motivation that's hard to replicate when training alone. Whether it's the energizing music, the coach's encouragement, or simply the determination not to quit before the person next to you, group classes tap into psychological drivers that help you push harder than you would on your own.

Classes for Every Goal & Fitness Level

At Housed, we believe group fitness should be accessible to everyone, regardless of where you're starting from. Our classes cater to different goals and abilities:

  • Pilates: Perfect for those seeking improved posture, core strength, flexibility, and mind-body connection. Excellent for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and complementing higher-intensity training.
  • Group Training: Ideal for building cardiovascular fitness, functional strength, endurance, and body composition changes. Great for those who thrive in high-energy environments and want to train alongside others.
  • HYROX Prep: Specialized classes for those interested in functional fitness competitions, combining running and functional exercises to build hybrid athlete capabilities.
  • Beginner-Friendly: All our classes welcome beginners. Instructors provide modifications to make exercises accessible while still challenging experienced participants with progressions.

With flexible class schedules across multiple Sydney locations including Macquarie Park, Bondi Junction, Chatswood, Thornleigh, Narellan, and Penrith, you can find class times that fit your lifestyle. Combine different class types to create a well-rounded fitness routine, or focus on one discipline to develop deep expertise. The choice is yours, and with our Full House membership, you have unlimited access to all classes at all locations.
